As a purveyor of quality mens’ apparel, Shafiq Halim's story is a classic American story. As a young boy in Kabul, Afghanistan, Shafiq learned the importance of hard work from a master tailor. After the Taliban took power in the late 1990’s, Shafiq fled to Europe in a shipping container, eventually making his way to the United States. In the DC area, he found various tailoring jobs. His knowledge and expert craftsmanship paid off. Shafiq was hired by Neiman Marcus and, after three years, he was promoted to lead tailor. In 2007, Bloomingdale’s offered Shafiq the position of Regional Tailoring Manager, and Wm. Fox & Co. offered him a few extra hours on his days off. For 14 years, Shafiq worked two jobs, always saving for that day when he would own his own shop. That day came in 2020, when Shafiq made the bold decision to purchase Wm. Fox & Co., and under his leadership, the company.has expanded to three shops. What sets Shafiq Halim apart is his friendly demeanor and a meticulous attention to perfection. Shafiq's craftsmanship is unparalleled, earning him the trust and admiration of countless clients.
